Reply Contact Hey, Derek: You'll want to stay away from JScript & VBScript - as of IP 2010, they are deprecated. No point in even messing around with them. Plus, no Intellisense (yeah, I'm spoiled). I would encourage you to use C#, unless you already have Visual Basic knowledge. I've seen a lot more C# samples on the boards than Visual Basic - so I think you'll have an easier time finding code samples. However, if you are a confident Visual Basic programmer, MSDN will have all the info you need to make InfoPath programming easier - you won't really need to rely on code samples in blog posts and such. I just wanted to get your professional thoughts/advice. I am thinking that for InfoPath coding, it would be better to use C# since I can get custom code help from the blogs and this forums. However, for Excel type macro coding, I can create it using VB scripting. Does this sound like a good plan? Reply Contact I did a little web search - it looks as if VSTA may be available for all Office products, not just InfoPath - you're on 2007, and I'm not sure if the article I saw was just for 2010 - but it looks like you could in the install select .NET Programability support for all the different Office products. They you could use C# for Excel too, which would be quite cool.... again, I don't know for sure on this.... Hilary Stoupa Page 1 of 1 (5 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
