Problem: Form template.xsn XML-main-datasource-based, stored in network folder, set to "automatically upgrade" when template upgraded 1) changed form 2) open prevousely filled datafile (xml file) 3) after opening in all repeating fields (that previousely have no any rows) I see empty rows I understand that data updating for forms datafile for seleted mode of upgrading based on upgrade.xsl But why this file generates "otherwise" parts what generates these empty rows, i can't to understand Especially note that these fields not updated in template but upgrade generator do not use this condition Help pls, i don't want to correct upgrade.xsl file after each changing of form datasource.

Some questions:

• How did you change the form? Did you just add new fields?
• What's in your XML data soure's default data? Click on data and default data and make sure that you aren't adding new rows there.
• Have you changed the upgrade.xsl before?
• Any code in your form?

Given how complex your form is (50 event handlers and custom upgrade.xsl!) I think we should just have a look at your form. We provide this service called "InfoPath Detailing" and we can investigate this issue while we do the detailing. Nobody in this forum is going to figure out your issue without looking at your form and it will take an hour minimum so the Qdabra InfoPath Detailing option is a major deal to you since you also get a nice analysis on top of the investigation of your issue. Hi, sorry, I cannot to attach the form template because this activity blocked with our policies. I can only present my form fragmentally if it 's needed. Or prepare something that works with the same effect of problem. Could you describe me what difference between options of applying default values in repeating control "to all occurencies" or to "only when user inserts..". What means "to all.." I found 2 variants: it's possible 1var) for new inserted AND 2var) for new fields inserted to form in difference of previous version. ...and why after writing letter in forum it is post formatted without any CRLFs? in Edit mode it is normallly. Hi again, I've made simple example of situation Describtion of actions: 1) to demonstrate I created simple form with some fields 2) after open all fields filled with default values 3) I deleted data Row in second group named as Group2 and saved example with "(Preview) Form1.xml" 4) corrected template (added new field) and saved 5) reopen saved data. I see row filled with default data in second group "Group2" what I can do to prevent recover default values in reopened data?
