InfoPath 2007 / MOSS 2007
I'm extremely stumped on this problem. I'm sure it's a logic problem, but I'm not seeing it.
I have two forms - PO and CR. I have set up queries in both of them that run fine. All the fields are promoted to a SharePoint library, and both forms access the information for one reason or another. I have both forms working just the way we want, use the SharePoint Workflow for approvals, have the filenames autonumbered, and I even have the CR pull the specific PO based on the file name. Bare with me for a moment as I try to explain the simplified process: We create a PO, and the file name is auto-generated/auto-named upon submittal. SharePoint processes the Approval Workflow. Upon the last approval, all appropriate fields are locked. We create a CR that, when opened, pre-populates a field with every PO file name in the SharePoint library. When we select a specific PO, the entire CR form populates with the appropriate fields, and names the CR [ concat("Check Request_", @File_Name[VendorName = @Vendor_Name]) ].
After all is said and done, someone wants a field on the PO to pull in the CR number (they want other fields for other info, too, but I'm trying to get just this one to work first). I've used similar logic to how I pulled the PO information into the CR, but it just won't work. In fact, I thought I could use a similar field to what's on the CR that auto creates the CR #, but it won't work at all in the PO, though the same field on the CR works fine.
I've tried setting up a query on the SharePoint Library and pulling in the CR #, using similar logic to match up the correct PO and CR.
I'm truly stumped, and getting frustrated. While I'm not a developer, I have used this forum to get help with other things and have managed to learn quite a bit. This seems like simple logic to me, but I can't get it to work.
Help?!?!?!?!?
