InfoPath 2010 to Master Excel Sheet

    Hey All!

First of all, I'm new to InfoPath - So My knowledge is pretty limited, I apologize in advance for my oblivious questions.

I am trying to create a form that can be submitted directly to an excel sheet. I want to be able to link the fields to columns on my excel sheet, and everytime a form is submitted it will add to the next empty row.  I currently have this working with with 2 different excel sheets (a submit XLS and a master XLS) that are tied together with VB Macros.

InfoPath, visually, would be much easier for my users for what they are doing (using touch tablets).

Can I bypass a database and have it submit directly to an excel file?  These will be used on small laptops in the field that will not have internet access, so I need for the forms to be able to submit locally.

    Any Ideas???

    Thanks!

    Justin

    Hi --

You can, in code, probably do this. You can apply an XSLT to the XML so that you can put the right fields in the right columns. I'm not sure how that would work with adding rows to an existing Excel sheet, however.

Here are some links that may help you:
