I have a desktop client-server application, which stores some specific data as XML documents (in the database). I'd like to allow users to edit this data, and am wondering if it is possible to use InfoPath 2003 as "external editor" for this task. In other words, I'd add something like this to the app:
- get the correct XML document from the database
- get the XSN form for it (possibly also from the database)
- instantiate InfoForm via automation
- feed the XML file and form to it
- when user is done editing and clicks save, fetch the XML document from InfoPath and save it in the database
Is something like this possible?
