Submit connection - object reference not set error - newbie question

Hi all

This is driving me nuts :). I've created a new Infopath form based on a web service with a submit connection and everything is OK - the form works and I'm able to submit data. However if I for some reason uses Tools -> Submit Options and reconfigures the submit connection I will recieve an "object reference not set" error no matter which combination of parameter options I choose. Having examined the manifest files between a working and not working form it looks like the only difference is in the lines below:

Working:

<xsf:submit caption="&Send">
<xsf:webServiceAdapter wsdlUrl="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/service.asmx?WSDL" queryAllowed="no" submitAllowed="yes" name="Primær afsendelse">
<xsf:operation name="create_Opgave" soapAction="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/AdhocIT/create_Opgave" serviceUrl="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/service.asmx"></xsf:operation>
</xsf:webServiceAdapter>
</xsf:submit>

Not Working:

<xsf:submit caption="&Send" disableMenuItem="no" onAfterSubmit="keepOpen" showStatusDialog="yes">
<xsf:webServiceAdapter wsdlUrl="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/service.asmx?WSDL" queryAllowed="no" submitAllowed="yes" name="Primær afsendelse">
<xsf:operation name="create_Opgave" soapAction="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/AdhocIT/create_Opgave" serviceUrl="http://info-ws.hedeselskabet.dk/service.asmx">
<xsf:input source="Submit.xml">
<xsf:partFragment match="/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:create_Opgave/s1:opg" replaceWith="/dfs:myFields" filter="."></xsf:partFragment>
</xsf:input>
</xsf:operation>
</xsf:webServiceAdapter>
</xsf:submit>

- see below for content of submit.xml

Questions:

• Can anyone see why the form gets corrupted - shouldn't allways be possible to edit the connection??
• Is it possible to revert to working from by using the GUI, or do I have to edit the manifest files?

best regards, Steen

Re: Submit connection - object reference not set error - newbie question

Hi all

Solved my own problem - chosing the right element and then - especially - sending "text and child elements only" instead of "XML subtree, including selected elements" did the the trick :)

Regards, Steen
