I created a sharepoint list. Modified the list in Infopath 2010. I have around 20 fields in the page and 2 buttons. First button is search. And the second button is update.
User enters value in the first field, clicks on search button. The other 19 fields are filled with the corresponding data from the database(I am using the secondary dataconnection for the search functionality). Search/Querying is working fine.
The user changes the values of the some of the fields in the form, and has to update it back to the database.
I Created a udc connection file in the Data connection library, added the submit webservice Data connection, which i have used in the update button to send the field to web service. In the submit option to webservice, i added the webservice url, clicked on Next, which provided me the web methods which are exposed in it. I selected the web method, which i wanted. In the fields group, i selected the whole form. clicked ok.
The Data connection library item is approved and I have admin previlage in the whole site. I published the form to the list. I checked the Design checker, which gave me 0 errors 0 warnings, before publishing to the site.
I opened the list, changed few details in the form, clicked on the update button. I am getting the following error:
The form cannot be submitted because of an error. Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.
An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service.
I checked the event viewer, found the below entries:
1) Soap error: Could not find '/definitions' inside the default WSDL namespace.
2) Soap error: Loading of the WSDL file failed.
The web service, which i am trying to invoke is a WCF service. In the web.config of the site, i have added the end points also. When i try to use the same WCF Service from a Visual web part, i am able to consume the Web Service, and the data is getting updated in the sql database.
I found the below in 14/logs:
Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter _http://sitename.com/2010/12 objInput. The InnerException message was 'There was an error deserializing the object of type TestContracts.RCInputContract.
How to fix this?
