    SOLVED: Dynamically Populate a DropDown List

    I have a form with a repeating table that contains a row with a ew dropdown boxes and a few text boxes.

    Currently when the user select DropDown A it populates textbox A with the value. (That parts works fine)

    Then what I want to do, is depending on what textbox A gets populated with (eg: H600 or H660, etc) I want dropdown B to be filtered to only have certian values in it.

    I have read all the dropdown box tutorials, samples and just can't seem to ge this to work. It seems like it should be easy.

    One more thing, I want to keep this all in the form, I don't want to hit a database or sharpoint of any kind. So the dropdown b options must be stored within the form. (they are already as I entered them maunally into the dropdown control manually).

    Please help, thanks guys/gals!

    I found this later on and it helped alot.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2004/03/24/95529.aspx

    What I did was create an XML file that looks like this...
    <Activities>
    <ActDesc JobCode="H600">General Operations</ActDesc>
    <ActDesc JobCode="H660">General Operations</ActDesc>
    </Activities>

    And then did as the above noted post said. It works fine, except I need to be able to include display text and value text.

    Does anyone know the proper XML syntax to have both display text and value text in my XML tags above? I need this, so that when the activity is choosen, I can then populate textbox B with the value from the dynamically populated activities dropdown.

    Again any help wuld be awesome!

    OK, so just to let everyone know, I was able to accomplish my task by stumbling onto this tutorial.
    http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=075c4e8e56db4fa5bd63615b712c0d91

    It told me exactly how to do what I needed to do.
    No my next problem is this.

    How do I populate a text box with an attribute from the current selected option in a drop down list.

    I think I best open a new topic.

    Thanks to all.
