    How to use optional formatting in repeating section to show only current record?

    Hello! My form is web-browsable.I use InfoPath2010 I have a repeating table in first view with fields PointType,Date1,Date2 etc and one expression control which shows current row number. In each row I have a button. Clicking by this button opens a new second view with the same data but more detailed in repeating section. I would like to use optional formating in a rule of the repeating section in the second view to show current record (on which button is clicked) I can save the number of selected record in the first view in an additional field( selectedId) in secondary datasource. How to show only this selected record if you know its number using conditional formatting in repeating section? smth like this ns1:Rows/ns1:Row[selectedId] -? or ns1:Row = current() I dont know how to write it correctly in an expression window when you set a rule.

    You have to work around the limitations by using conditional formatting to hide all but the row number selected from your button click:

    count(preceding-sibling::ns1:Row) != [SELECTED_ROW_NUMBER_HERE]

    Depending on how you have it set up, the count might be 1 less than the number you have selected, so you would add one to make them match:

    count(preceding-sibling::ns1:Row) + 1 != [SELECTED_ROW_NUMBER_HERE]
