    error opening the form

    Hi all...another question...sorry if I'm boring :)))
Anyway, one colleague of mine in another country cannot open a form made here...the form is published in sharepoint and the error is the following:
"The form could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the templete for this form library could not be opened. Please try the following:
1-Check the General Setting for this form library for the name of the templete and install the application properly for opening the forms. If the applciation was set to install on the first use, run the application and then try creating a new form again
2-If you have the permission to modify this form library, go to General Setting for the library and configure a new templete."

Before this, there's a mask to insert user and password...the form is very simple, with few fields and no code; it's not in dot net framework, the users has SP1 and has "Contributor" permission for the sharepoint site...what's wrong?

I've also tried to log on as this user and it works...can you tell me why he has this kind of problem? Why can't he access the templete? Have you ever seen this error?
    Thank u again!

    Hi Tatopitta,
    Did they install SP1?

So there is a mask to "insert user and password" which suggests they are logging in using BASIC authentication. Is there anything in the form which requires Domain Trust security? For example some code that auto-populates System.Environment.Username? If so, they will have to be VPN'd into the domain to get correct credentials. That may be causing some of the problems. Not exactly sure though.

My guess is there's something wrong with the client install. Maybe try Repairing the InfoPath installation.

Sometimes I feel that without Italian posters, I would have no real life. Tatopitta, we are still planning to tour your idyllic enclave. I have been studying up one wines of the region, but have yet to find any. Barolos are definitely a common theme around here, but what's the indigenous grape of where you come from ...

    Massive thread drift ahead ...

How many days will you stay here?In november there are mushroomsand truffles too...there's the "novello" the first wine of the year...eheheh....but maybe it's quite rainy... there will be an interesting food-exchange :)

Truffles! What more could anyone ask for? Truffles are my favorite delicacy. Oregon State (south of Washington) has some, but not like the ones imported from Italy. I can ony dream of what the locals get. I think the 2nd week of November would be neat, but I need to check with the other forces of nature that inhabit my microcosm.

So I should quit in April and go? :) Just kidding. OK, we'll shoot for April, but are there truffles in April? That's my main wanderlust.
