Hi,

I have two simple questions

1) Does InfoPath2007 have inbuilt function that it removes blank spaces from the end of the value? (e.g "FI " converts automatically to "FI")

2) If so, can I somehow circle around this automation?

I have a dropdown list that gets value "FI " from the database (secondary connection). The form sends it to database (main connection) and there the value is "FI " (3 characters). But the form is at the same time submitted also by email; and when someone open the form, the value is "FI" (2 characters).

I'm new to InfoPath myself but it would appear that the issue is how the field is being stored in the dropdown. I would check the value that is being used to create the dropdown and see if the culprit isn't there. You may want to copy that value and paste it into Notepad and then copy the two letters from Notepad into the InfoPath cropdown control. if that is in fact where you are storing these values.
