    Exporting I/P 10 Repeating tables

    Hello,

So I am creating expense reports through infopath 10 and save the data and form to sharepoint 07. My issue is when I try to export the data into excel I get a lot of jibbirish. The most important thing I want to do is export the data from thats in the repeating table and keep them on seperate line itmes. The problem I get is that it merges the data in the repeating table into one cell. For example in my repeating table I could have up to 10 differnt line items which has unique data. When it comes to exportign all line items are displayed on one cell which then makes it hard to put them into pivot tables.

    Can someone please help!??!

    Hi MBryant10,

Are you exporting from SharePoint or from InfoPath? InfoPath Export to Excel supports exporting repeating items as separate rows. Make sure that the repeating groups are following best practices for schema structure - i.e. make sure they are under a parent group that is not repeating.

If you are trying to do this from SharePoint, you'll need to first map your InfoPath form's items to a list. SharePoint 2010 supports this for non-repeating. To do repeating, you can try Qdabra's free qRules plugin which supports mapping to lists.

    Happy trails,
