Hi! I have a drop down list that is populated via a web service. The web service returns a dataset. Now I want to make a selcted index as selected in the drop down. How do i do this.

I can do the same thing in asp.net as follows.

myDropDownList.SelectedItem.Selected="True"

Hi speddi, Welcome to the Forum!
You cannot do the way that you do with asp.net.
If you want a value to be selected by default then you need to set that value directly into the form xml.
Once you set the value to the field that is bound to the dropdown then that value is shown as selected in the UI.
