I published my form to SharePoint Library and when a used fills out the form and submits.

- Since i checked the "Close the form" under submit options for the submit button. The form is close after the submit.

Is there a way i can kill the infopath application also after the submit. Because the user has to X out of the application otherwise.

Yes! You can write one line of code to do this in your OnSave event handler. Search for Close in the InfoPath SDK and let me know if you don't find what you are looking for.
