How to know if it submitting first time

    Hi,

I have a form for which on a submit i am saving it to the sharepoint libaray with the form Name (field). I did enable to the formName can be overwritten if already existing... is there a way to know if i am submitting the form for the first time or opening an existing form in the sharepoint library and making changes and resubmitting.....

I dont want a new form with the same name to overwrite an existing form in the sharepoint library but i do want to be able to make changes to the existing form in the sharepoint library and resubmit it.

    thanks in advance

You can check XDocument.IsNew == true, or you can see if XDocument.URI has the same base address (i.e. your SP site) as thisXDocument.Solution.URI (the location of the form template the form was started from)

For multiple submits before closing the form, set a variable OnLoad based on Greg's condition above and use that.
