Submit data then link to a new page

I have deleloped a simple contact infopath form and later will be published to our sharepoint MOSS  2007 site. The form is basically to collect contact info and then send an email to our staff.

We plan to embed the form in a page-viewer web part in the sharepoint site.

One issue is: after clicking submit button, I would like the page direct to our existing thank you page. I cannot find a way to do that in infopath. I can only see 3 options: leave the form open , create a new form, close the form. How can I make it go to another thank-you page after submitting?

The second issue: we have a comment field in the form. I can type unlimited characters in the multiline text box.

But after submitting, I can see in the received email, the text in the text box is cut off. Is there a way to make the text box auto increase its size when there are long texts in it.

    Thanks

For the first issue, I would suggest the following: after Submit, switch to an InfoPath view that says "Thank you" and has a button to close the InfoPath form.

For the second issue, simply right click on the text box, Size tab, then go to the Width parameter, and type in Auto (to make it auto-expand). Or, in the Display tab, select Multi line > Expand to show all text.

    Good luck!

We try to avoid the page viewer web part instead opting for manipulation of the source attribute in the query string in the URL. This way you can go to any page you like including a thank you page. Another option is to use SPUtil object to a) Redirect and b) send an email. For point 2, again we would simply extract the comment field and dump it directly in the email as html or plain text, this allows the email application to handle formatting. There is no better or worse way of accomplishing your requirments these are just another couple of options. Good luck
