I need help converting yyyy-mm-dd date format to mm/dd/yyyy. Why does Infopath only accept yyyy-mm-dd date format but javascript Date object doesn't? I'm getting NaN error. Please help. Thanks ahead of time.

Hi,

Xml has a format to store the date it's yyyy-mm-dd and if you want to save in another format you have to make a string.

But you can also make subsatring of your date for have the coreect format but that is not valid according to your XML schema!

Xml accepts only yyyy-mm-dd format. If you want mm/dd/yyyy format only for visual purpose then you can change format in the InfoPath UI.

If want to save in mm/dd/yyyy format then as Thierry said you have to change the type to string istead of Date.
