Summarize data in new field if condition is met

I have a form with a few repeating tables.

The tables contain expenses that are assigned to GL accounts

I would like to have a summary of the expenses by GL account in a new table at the bottom of the form

So,  if I had  2 items for GL 560   one for 10.00  and one for 30.00,    the total of all GL 560  would appear in a table,   as 40.00

Also,  if had only 1 item for GL 490   for 15.00,   it would also appear as one line     for 15.00

Then eventually after all GLs   were summarized,  the column  would total

I can get the fields to total over to a new field,  by using filter,  but I can only figure out how to build one line,    I need the lines to be added as each new GL code is added to the form. \

What is my best bet here?

No,  sorry ,    I did not clearly explain this,   below is what would be a repeating table, that would be populated  by users filling out a expense claim

    GL 500          12

    Gl 490          25

    GL 320           6

    GL 500        20

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Totals

    GL490         35

    GL 500        32

    GL 320           6

I would like the totals to appear automatically,   by GL number   as the repeating table is populated.

I dont know if this can be done without code....

    Thanks,  Paddy

Thanks for the reply,    I had a feeling that would be the case.  I will begin that process.
