    QueryBuilder for WSS web services

    Can we use QueryBuilder for WSS web services like

    http://<servername>/eventdemo/_vti_bin/UserGroup.asmx

    I'm trying to figure out how to use "GetRolesAndPermissionsForCurrentUser" in a InfoPath form;

    When I add it as a DataSource I get the group folders w/o any fields.

    ADgroups can get me some info, but I would like to test if a user is a "Contributor" , i.e. there Sharepoint Role on form open

    I am using qrules so I cannot use any embedded code.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Marzipan,

    Thanks for contacting us. You don't need QueryBuilder for to query SharePoint Web Services. My guess is that you're probably not specifying values in the Sample Data dialog that have data associated with them. InfoPath builds return schema based on what the web service query returns and if it doesn't return anything, well, InfoPath doesn't dispay anything. Try to create a new data connection and specify values for the parameters in the sample data dialog that will return data. If it still doesn't work, try with different data until it does.

    Hope this helps!
