it is possible to create such a form, in fact it is not that much of an effort. All you need to do is create a email submit data connection. and populate the to field according to the status of the form.

    Hi Ashok,

There are multiple ways to accomplish what you are wanting to do.  What Qazi is suggesting is to use an email Data Connection to email the complete form to another user (Tools->Data Connection->Add->Submit Data->As an e-mail message).  I like this approach, but you are not necessarily submitting it to a document library with this approach.... you could do both I guess if you wanted too.  Another approach is to submit it to the sharepoint library, and then use Sharepoint Design to create a workflow that will email the desired user the link to the document.  That should be fairly simple too...

Also, you'll most likely need to create a form status/stage field as Qazi suggested to keep track of the stage at which the requisition is currently in (Then you can send emails according to the status, or create custom views depending on the stage of the req).. Most times I just create a hidden combo box with all the stages.. ie (Not Started, End User, line manager approval, Manager Approval, Director Approval)

Hope this helps (Hope this is what Qazi had in mind too)

    Hello again,

So start off making the combo box, add the different stages to the dropdown values..  Now, on your submit button, add a rule that sets the combo box value.... ie.. Set field value...

Set field value = 'Manager Approval'

You don't necessarily need the combo box, I just find it a good way to keep track of what stage values I use within the form...  Now you can add a new section with your approval information to the form, and make it so that its only visible when Stage='Manager Approval'... on the manager approval button, set the stage field again to another stage, etc..

This is the approach i've been using, been working well for me.. but I think you can also use Sharepoint workflow..

    Hope this helps.
