I made a basic HTML and CSS website for a friend who owns a domain name through godaddy.com. I tried to publish it and it wouldn't take, because I don't think he suscribes to a web server service through them, just a domain name.

If he subscribes to a web server service through them, will I be able to publish the site through SharePoint Designer?

SharePoint Designer has support for publishing Web sites to a variety of Web servers using a variety of publishing protocols. SharePoint Designer can publish through the HTTP protocol to Web servers running FrontPage Server Extensions or Windows SharePoint Services, and publish through FTP, WebDAV, or the file system to any Web server supporting those protocols.
