For you developers that desire a MUCH quicker way to deploy your Administratively approved code associated with your form, here's how.
The following assumes you've already published and Activated your template Form.
-
On your MOSS server, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\
-
Under that folder you'll see folders like solution.xsn.1.0.0.210.1......
-
Find the folder that corrolates to your latest build version of your code. ( or just look for the last directory with recent timestamps that should be your latest and greatest.)
-
Start IIS manager, stop the app-pool for the site collection thats associated with your Form Template.
-
Copy your latest build ( code) dll into the folder you found as described in step #3
-
Start up the app-pool.
-
You're done!
This saves a huge amount of time as appose to going through all the BS of Uploading, DeActivating, Activating bla bla bla.
Food For Thought
I wouldn't suggest this in production..lol ( but great for dev environments)
If you have design changes in your Template Form itself, this doesn't address that. You will have do the publish thing and all the other steps required for that.
