    Adding Controls To The Footer

    Hello,

I am trying to create our company's standard forms from Word into InfoPath.  Our primary purpose for our forms is for printing.... one of the issues I am dealing with is inserting controls in the footer of InfoPath.  The control I would like to insert would allow a user to select which region their office is in and thus generating the correct address branding in the footer.  Keep in mind, documents may be more than one page (with repeating table controls) in which the footer would need to appear in all the pages.

Any advice would be great appreciated :)

     Thank you in advance!

    Hi Meng

Good news and bad news, the bad news is you can't add controls to the footer, the good news their is way around

    1. Create a niew view, call it Settings (View -> Manage Views -> Add New View (Right Pane))
    2. In the new settings view, add the data the user has to fill in like the region .  See thje Settings View as the Print Properties Popup box in Word
    3. Create your footer
    4. Link the fields , used in the Settings View, to the Footer (Insert AutoText -> Field in the Footer Popup Screen)

Hopefully this can help you out
