    User groups with outlook

    Hi

I need to be able control acces to some parts of my template through groups. I have been able to find some good solutions on this site but they all refer to 2007 and unfurtunately I am stuck with 2003.

I have been able to make groups based on outlook groups but they dont't seem to work??

Hope someone will be able to help.

    Hi Louise,

I'm not sure I understand your question. You want to control access to parts of the template. Do you mean you want to control access to certain XML files created with the template? InfoPath doesn't provide template section permissioning. SharePoint supports XML instance permissioning but it's manual. Qdabra's DBXL supports automatic permissioning for XML instances, but that requires installing the DBXL Web Service. You can also use User Roles to check Active Directory Group membership (of the user) when they open the form, but that's not Outlook. So, I'm confused. Outlook cannot be used to control access to your forms. You have to use Active Directory and data within your form.

    Best regards,
