    Max Function question

    Hello,

      I have several Text Boxes with Integer data type that allow user to input the value. I would like to calculate the maximum value of these fields by using the Max() function and assign it to a new field. I can't get the Max() function to work properly. It doesn't allow multiple fields as input arguments. I also combined all the fields into a single group and use it in the formula but it doesn't work either and keep getting a "NaN" in the resulting field. Thanks for any help!

    Derrick

    Example:

    Field1 =  2, Field2 = 3 , Field3 = 5, Field4 =  2, Field5 = 8 , Field6 = 5

    Answer: MaxField =   8

    Qazi Anis:

    try max(field1,max(field2,max(field3,...)))

    Max function doesn't work that way.

     The right expession: max(field1|field2|field3)

     max(field1|field2|field3) works like a charm.

    Thanks so much, Alec & Qazi.
