 Hi,

I have an infopath 2007 form that is submitted to a sharepoint 2007 libarary, however I need to be able to make some of the fields read only, not all of them. Microsoft suggests creating another view and make this read only. This to me is a fudge and not a solution at all and stinks of Microsoft just passing the buck, first you have two forms with the same fields duplication anybody, then you have to manually sync both forms, yes I really need the extra work, thx for nothing MS. I'm hoping there is a PROPER solution and not a fudge as suggested by Microsoft.

P.S. I can't use digital signatures.

 Nevermind, I've figured out a way of doing it the way I want. For those interested,

I created a hidden field on my form. Then changed the way the form is submitted to 'perform custom action using rules'. In this I set a rule to set the value of my hidden field, and another rule for submitting the form. I also set a rule on the fields I wanted read only basically it checks the hidden field for a value once it finds it the field is set to read only( this will only happen when the form is submitted).
