    Rights Management in INFOPATH FORM

     Hallo,

I have a short question and I hope you can help me with that:

Basic: Sharepoint Server 2007+ Infopath (important only web based forms!) + SQL Server 2005

I would like to set rights to each controls(DropDown, Textbox etc.)depending on User Rights Management:
For first input user can read + write. After saving the information he only can read it.
I mean explicit controls because some controls, user should be able to (R/W)

    Administrator can do both read+write.

can someone tell me how to implement this on a web based form in Infopath?

    Thank you very much

    QT

use conditional formatting. that way you can hide fields, disable fields ..

You are right, thanks for that information.

Can you also tell me  "The expression" how to get the current user

    like -> active user = AD_administrator_group

    or something like that.

userName() will fetch you the current logged in user

Re: Rights Management in INFOPATH FORM

Thank you for this fast answer.

Can you tell me where I can get a list of all the standard functionality like userName() etc.?

What about the second part if I need to compare the uservalue with a active directory group list.
Or would you advise me to create a sharepoint list with the group members?

How should I write the expression?

    is something like this working:

userName() IN (SELECT user FROM usergroup WHERE admin=1)

right click on any field, go to its properties, there will be Fx button click that and you can see buttons like insert function..

you can explore the functions from there.

to use these functions for comparing stuff, right click any field click rules click add

click set condition there u can set the conditions, also u can use formulas there

note these rules apply on individual field.

alternatively if you want to set rules for the form go, to tools -> form option  -> rules and set your rules there

     hello,

I know how to set the conditions, but how do I set these kind of condition where I check one variable with a complete column of data

like you have seen on the sql statement above?

when u try to compare one variable with a column of data. you get a filter button. you can set the condition there, so that only once field gets returned

Filtering would be great, but it does not work with web based forms!!! is there another solution?
