Filtering data from SQL in a non database form

    Hello,

Sory for my english but i'ts not my primary language.

I have the following problem for which i'd love to hear your opinions and solutions:

i made a form that would either create a task or make a calendar entry (dependant on user choice) on sharepoint. one of the fields is a list of potential partners from which the user will choose. My problem is that the list of partners is 13000 entries long... takes a bit for the user to be able to select the one he wants or to even load them from SQL base.

so i would like to filter them somehow before i start "moving" them into infopath.

I know that this can be done using the Database form when creating a new form but then i couldn't enter any new non database connected fields.

Is there any way of me beeing able to filter the items? or is there any other tip i could use so i wouldn't have to load 13000 entries or speeding things up.

To filter SQL queries we provide a free trial of our Web Service (WSSP). Here's some documentation: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/wssp_v23_english/default.aspx. Here is the product download page for DBXL and WSSP: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/DBXL.aspx

The Web Service called QueryDB supports filtering on the server. The pricing is very competitive and will definitely save you time and money. There is currently no other solution for filtering on the server.
