InfoPath Dev

I have successfully created the Delete row on a repeating table, but I cannot get the Insert to work.  I keep getting the error "Failed to insert the child node."  My Command code is "Insert /parent=/my:myFields/my:Table /child=/my:Row".  I probably did something wrong since I am an Xpath newbie.

Hi Irene, thannks for trying qRules. The screenshot didn't come thru; can you try again? Or, alternatively, attach the form template (if it lacks anything sensitive, of course).

Insert requires a /count parameter. Can you try adding it?

I get the same error with or without the count at the end.  Your documentation says that count is optional since it assumes 1 if it is not specified.

 I do not see a way to attach the form or I would =o)

When you reply (don't use Quick  Reply) there is a tab called Options. Switch to it to attach a form. Thanks!

There was nothing wrong with your command. But something in the form design was causing the problem.

What did I do? (see attached form) I removed the CommandUsed node and had the rule set Command directly, in one action. Why this works I have no idea, but we will investigate.

I was able to modify mine so the Insert works.  Yeah!  I appreciate your help with this. 

Unfortunately, now the delete does not work anymore.  Can they not be used together?  (In addition to the Insert and Delete controls, I also plan to use the Savetosharepoint feature in this same table.)

Yes, they can be used together. But I removed the CommandExecuted node in one command and forgot to in the other. Here is the fixed up form; let me know if it still presents problems.
