    I have existing XML form files that I want to use with new version of form

    I want to be able to take the data out of the old version file - XML and put it into the new form.  Can I change the form that opens the old XML somehow?  The only thing I did to the form was change some text fields to wrap to multi-line and added or deleted choices to selection boxes.

    Is there another way to copy data from one form to another with both forms open - like a cut and paste operation between the old and new form?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi -- so did you publish the changed form with a new name or to a new location? If you open your xml with a text editor, you'll see an href attribute like:

    href="file:///C:\Folder\TestForm.xsn"

    You can change that to point to your new template. If the data structure is the same, your xml file should open correctly with the new form. Ummmm, do be sure to make a copy of your xml before changing that, okay?

    Thanks, I thought  there was a way to do it but was not sure and could find the answer.
