Firstly, thank you for such a great site!
My problem is two fold, and I'm hoping to find alternative methods to create a form I'm working on. The process is a bit convoluted, so please bear with me. Users will have data in Excel that we'd like them to copy/paste into a specified number of repeating rows we have set up in an InfoPath form. With code, the user can input how many rows they require to fill out their report. Once the rows are created, the user pastes the info in and submits the form. The form will submit to email, and, each day, the auditors will highlight all the relevant forms, right click, select InfoPath properties and export the forms to be used by a Master Excel spreadsheet.
The process is similar to the asset tracker solution located here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA102521951033.aspx
Everything seems to work fine, until the user has to input a large number of rows, say anything more than 250 rows. The time it takes to create the rows is unbearable. Even after the rows are created, pasting the information in can take just as long, and in some cases (more than 300 rows) may lock up InfoPath and never complete (or at least not in the 20 minutes i've waited to see if anything would happen). This is the problem I'm hoping to remedy.
Any ideas? Thanks!
