The activex controls are not functional in a browser based infopath form . how in do we do this. Requirements is to run the audio the moment user reaches the view. anyone?

Although I haven't done this before, I think it should be doable. Add the audio file as a Resource File from the Tools menu, then you'll have to make a custom XSL edit.

Extract the form files, and then find the XSL for the view you want to play the music on. Make an edit near the top of the file to put an audio player in there. InfoPath uses the same rendering engine as Internet Explorer, so there should be tons of examples on the internet for this.

Thanks for the reply Matt. But i am new to infopath and am trying to extract the files but apparently doing somehting wrong. Can you direct me with more precise steps or links.

I think that you can easily extract the files by chosing "file -> save as source" and then you just specifiy the target folder.

You can edit the resulting file <yourview>.xsl but I'm not sure this will be a solution for your problem. I've tried to add a simple image on a button but as soon as it was deployed in forms services, it didn't work anymore, so we'll see....
