Relink forms to a new infopath template

    Dear forum,

I have migrated several xml files form WSS 2003 to a MOSS 2007 form library. A colleague did it with
Metalogix. In the new form library I published a new Infopath template. The existing xml files are already
linked to the old template under WSS 2003. In my form library the repair.aspx view is not available.
Perhaps I delete this view in the past. How can I relink my xml files now to the actual template???

    1. Download all/one of the XML files
    2. Open the file in NOTEPAD
    3. At the top of the file you will see two tags that start with <?mso
    4. On the first tag find the attribute href="
    5. Modify the link to point to the location of your new template
    6. Upload the file back into its sharepoint folder

We have a tool for that. This blog post by Mel has more information which could help you decide if it would be useful to you.

This may be an old thread, but I have always dealt with relinking forms to the template at their new location manually through the relink view in the library, so I was happy to share this link I found that shows how to relink all forms via powershell in one shot: http://scriptingsamurai.com/sharepoint-2013-infopath-relink-powershell/
