Hiding a section control does not hide signature line

I have a form that I am trying to hide a section control based upon another control in the form.  The section control hides fine, but the "click here to sign this section" does not hide.  How can I hide that as well.  I don't want the first user filling out the form to sign the wrong section :-)

    thanks

    Hi Tammi,

Are you using Digital Signatures (included with InfoPath) or Qdabra's add-on Electronic Signatures? I'm assuming the former. If so, you will need to change the signature to be per section. Unfortunately, this cannot be done for browser-based forms. Browser based forms are limited to signatures on the entire document so there's no way to programmatically hide show. Our Electronic Signature XTP also isn't a good solution since it uses images and those aren't supported in browser enabled forms either. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ...

    Patrick,

I am using Infopath and digital signatures.  I have the signatures signing per section.  I think you mixed it up in your previous comment - the browser based forms do not support sigining the whole document - just sections.  And I am using browser based forms on this

since it is signing in sections of the form - can the digital signature "click here" be hidden as well?

Oops! Thanks for correcting me. I knew it was one way or the other.

Have you tried putting the section inside another section? That's all I can think of. We can ask MS for you though if you can't figure it out. Maybe there's a limitation.

Just tried putting the section inside another section and no luck - hides the section ok but not the click here signature line.  I'm surprised since it is supposed to be part of the section.  If you can think of another idea or ask MS that would be great.  Thanks

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll evaluate the issue. I assume you were running Office 2007 SP2 and Office SharePoint 2007?

Re: Hiding a section control does not hide signature line

I was able to successfully hide my digital signature lines by putting the section to be signed inside a second section. I then hid the second (outer) section.
