Problem with Form Published to Network

It's been a long time since I've written for help. That's because the InfoPath form I had on the network was working great; now it's bombing.

I created the form on my computer. I published it to a network location where it can be filled out and emailed to me (via a "submit" button). When I receive it back, it's an .xml file and I open it with the form stored on my computer (it does that automatically, or it DID; sometimes it would ask me first though if I wanted to keep the template on my computer). I have a button on the form called "Upload" and when I'd click it, it would transfer the data to my Access database, located on my computer.

I made a change to the form and republished it to the network. Now when I open the emails, the form opens, but apparently from the network drive. When I click on "Upload" it does not work. It cannot see my database from there.

    Any clues? Thanks!

    Hi Tammy and welcome back,

First of all, I would try to clear your cache. Windows->Start->InfoPath. Select the form. Click Remove. Close all InfoPath windows and retry.

If this doesn't work, take a look at the following post: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/mel_balsamo/archive/2009/05/19/using-e-mail-forms-to-communicate-with-external-users.aspx

Thanks! Clearing the cache helped somewhat. Then I got a different error. After that I was able to go delete the template from the network and republish it. (Wasn't able to before for some reason.) Now it works again.

Thanks for your help and prompt reply!

    Tammy
