I didn't think to check the IsUserMemberOfGroup call extensively before using it in my form; but now I notice that this function doesn't have any recursion to get at nested groups. During my initial testing of the web service, I was only checking against a non-nested group and it returned true. Not the case for our Live directory structure...
Here's an example of our directory setup: User -> Region1 Management -> All Managers -> Certain Form Approvers. I need to know if Manager is able to approve a form, and the web service returns false even when a user is actually nested into the group.
We use nested groups heavily in our environment.So my problem (or query): is there a way for me to use this web service to get this simple information, or do I have to write custom code?
