    Can an Infopath form automatically read a PC's hardware inventory?

    I wonder if a form, given full trust, could automatically access a user's hardware information.  This would be a nice way to update our asset management database.  If it is possible, can someone show how to collect installed RAM and the Computer Model?

    Sure, you can write some .NET code that gets the hardware info and set that data into the XML nodes of the form (i.e. the fields). Not hard, but will require 10-20 lines of code. Let us know if you want to pay for an hour and we'll do it.
