Sharepoint stadard + infopath client vs forms server

My client has sharepoint standard. Also all the users have infopath installed on their PCs. However they do not have infopath forms sever. 1. can i use the exisitng setup to develop infopath based workflows, without installing a forms server. What are the limitations of this approach? 2. Technicaly is their any difference in the way a workflow is developed using this set up (sharepoint standard + infopath client without forms server) when compared to sharepoint enterprise setup? (this was a similar question, but does not answer my questions http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Server/MS-SharePoint/Q_23809488.html )

    Hello Ram,

You can create Sharepoint workflows both out of the box and with SharePoint Designer with InfoPath - you do not need Forms Services for this. You can use InfoPath based workflows without Forms Services, provided they do not have code.  In a nutshell, Forms Services refers to the ability to have your users use web based forms, manage coded forms and forms deployed across multiple site collections. Refer to this link for additional Forms Services info: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointserver/HA101672841033.aspx. As for the functionality of the Form itself, it is actually reduced when deployed as a browser form because certain controls are not supported. I hope this helps.
