InfoPath Dev

I've published an InfoPath form on SharePoint and am testing the functionality.  I have a drop down box containing an email address in the 'value' section and a user name in the 'display name' section.  When I open the form in SharePoint and make a selection from this drop down box it initially accepts my selection but then changes it when I use other form controls such as text boxes or the save button.  I am not experiencing this issue with my other drop down boxes.  Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?

Is it possible that you have some conditional formatting or rules in there? Try opening the form in design mode and opening Tools --> Logic Inspector. See if anything is displaying for that field.
