error when form is submitted by other users

    Hi,

I have created a form template that is published on a Sharepoint site.

The form is to be filled out by various users and then submitted to
    different Sharepoint Document Libraries.

However, there seem to be an error somewhere in the form because all of the
forms which my users have submitted cannot be opened, if you try you get
    following error message

"Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then
click the Refresh button, or try again later. "

    and

"XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource
    'http://sharepointemea/sites/neof/View%20Orders%20Bac..."

another thing is that i have created 3 sharepoint dataconnections for the
form to be submitted in, but the form only gets submitted to 1 sharepoint
document library - containing above mentioned error (you can open it)

i have checked all the dataconnections and they are identical in set up, so
can't really figure out why it only submits to 1 out of 3 document
    libraries...

    hope you can help!

    Thanks,
    Rume

    Hi

Check once by removing and readding the data connections.

Re: error when form is submitted by other users

    Hi Madhuri,

I actually tried something similar when i changed the button properties in my submit button. i changed the action from Submit to Rules and custom Code and then added the data connections again. Furthermore, i seperated the 3 data connections which submitted to sharepont into individual rules instead of embed them into one rule...

    Thanks,

    Rume

    Hi

Sometimes becuase of IE's security settings can cause this error. If you check Internet options -> Security, you'll see an option
"access data sources across domains". Its usually
disabled. Please enable it, and see if it works.

Can please once again check the 3 Data connections rules that you added. That is in the Action window of Rules, check the data connection dropdown has the corresponding submit data connections values.

Re: error when form is submitted by other users

    Hi Madhuri,

i tried both changing the security settings in my IE and removed and added the data connections again, but with the same result.

the error does not appear to be there, because the error message is exactly the same,

    "Infopath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The form cannot be submitted to the following location http://......
    Access denied.
    Access is denied."

i also checked my sharepoint site permission where the form is published, but everything seems as it should be...

    what more can i try??

    Hi

What is the security level of infopath form? You cannot submit a form to sharepoint with restricted security. It should have "Automatically determine security level based on form design "(Domain Trust) or above(Full trust).

    RumeB:

    "Infopath cannot submit the form.

The form cannot be submitted to the following location http://......
    Access denied.
    Access is denied."

Do the users have contribute permissions to the other libraries where the form is being submitted?  You mentioned checking the permissions of the library where it's published, but what about the libraries where it's being submitted?  The error you give here shows an obvious permissions issue at the destination.

Re: error when form is submitted by other users

i created a new, more simple form in infopath to see if i could narrow the area of possible errors down.

i manuelly gave a colleague of mine contribute permission to all 3 sharepoint libraries - but with exact same error message as result...

so it seems like that the error lies in the form and not in the permission rights for the libraries...
