feedback workflow to specific forms not emailing

i did a feedback workflow to 4 specific forms in a document library.  that worked, but it won't allow me to e-mail the feedback task to a specific email rather then a sharepoint user.  it underlines it like it will work, but never sends it and i get a email that mentions below in red.

is there a way to give access to an email rather then just a user?  it is a public outlook folder with email enabled, so no user to add into sharepoint.

    says:

This task was assigned to you because [email protected] does not have access to http://xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxx.

    Hello Charris1980,

Because a public folder does not have a true user account, there is no way to send it an email. As a workaround, create an regular user account with an email address, create a shared folder and allow all the users to access it. Is there a reason you are forwarding the task to a folder instead of a regular user?

old habits for some people are hard to break i guess, trust me i would rather send to a user(s) or have them RSS feed the task list. :)
