Im very new to Infopath but good with VB.NET. I need some sample code that i can use to return a dataset or something similar to a datareader from a sharepoint list. Here is what im trying to do:

User enters a product code and on validating event of the textbox I want to retrieve the product details from a Sharepoint List and display them on the form.

Please assist me.

You want to display the product details form SharePoint then you have to take one receive connection in InfoPath then automatically form opens it will get all the data from SharePoint and displayed in the form.

If you want to filter by product code then you have to add the text box in form and add the one button. In that button add the rule to query and receive data from SharePoint. You have to add the filter condition for repeating product details, product code is equal to user entering product code then those product details are filter on specified product code.
