Hi,

I want to see the text value of dropdown list in an expression box. I know how to do this with a dropdown and secondary datasource. I have manual list box entries in it.

The values are like

Value    Text

1           one

2           two

3           three

In another view which is read only view, I have an expression box for the dropdown values. It shows me 1 on that expression box, but I want to see the text i.e. ONE. Do any one have have any idea about this?

Hi,

If you have Schema field for "Text" in the form, then bind Read only view Expressing box to the Text field  instead of "Value" field.

Otherwise add same formula to the Read only view "Expression Box" which you added for "Text" field to display text.

Sorry I am not able to understand what you are talking about. Can you please elaborate the way you are talking about.

I have a dropdown of States where I have added list items by going to  DropDownlist properties -->  Enter listbox entries manually --> Add --> add choice --> enter value and Diplay name.

How do I show the state display name without using and other datasource.
