Infopath Using a WCF service hosted on different Machine

    Hi,

We have an Infopath form with a lot of Managed code(C#) and which is for  Populating Drop -downs and submitting data via a WCF service.

We do not have a Data connetcion to Web service, we did that in code.

After, publishing this Browser-enabled form to SharePoint(with IIS7.0) the web service doesnot run. It gives acess denied error.

    Please help ..

    Thanks,

    Hello,

If you have code to connect web service also we had one sample connection in InfoPath with data connection name. If you want we can the web service URL in code. You have to take web service connection in InfoPath form then write the code related to that web service.

Chech one that web service URL is open in Internet Explorer without giving any error message?

    Hi,

We cannot use Web service in Data Connection, we can only use in Code. My current isuee is that my infopath doesnot acess the Web Service (WCF) if it is hosted on other machine or even if it is on another port(not sharepoint port) on the server.

Its really urgent for now, we want that web service should work on different port on sharepoint server machine and also Infopath can well access it. we are using Win server 2008 and IIS7.0 . WCF does not run even in browser from different port.
