schema-based forms -- handling schema updates

This relates to IP 2003. I have a form based on a schema complex enough that IP won't let me edit it in the datasource view. I really would not look forward to having to cut, paste, and rebind every control in the form any time I make a change to the schema. Is there a way to handle this more gracefully?

This has nothing to do with the complexity of your schema.  InfoPath will not allow you to modify the data source because it is obeying the schema and the schema does not leave any room for modification.

When there are changes to the schema you're using as your main data source, you can use Tools->Convert Main Data Source... to update it in your template.

Excellent! That's better than I had hoped for. Thanks, mate(s).
