    _XDocument3 ?

    Hi,

    Infopath 2007 (C#2.0 DOM 2003)

In the middle of the year I have found an interessting post about how to pass parameter in a form on Infopath MDSN blog:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/02/26/passing-data-into-a-form-input-parameters.aspx

That was working great and that go always great with the published version

But yesterday I open this project and compile it but I have the following error on _XDocument3:

Error 1 The type or namespace name '_XDocument3' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) D:\Project\InfopathForm\web\web\FormCode.cs

    The line :
    _XDocument3 infopath2007XDocument = (_XDocument3)e.XDocument;

I see that I didn't found it any more in my Visual Studio 2005?

But in MSDN that appear to be here :

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.office.interop.infopath._xdocument3(VS.80).aspx

I have also try to convert this project in Visual studio 2008 and I have the same error.

Have you any idea about what is it?

    Thanks

    Thierry

    Hi Thierry,

Great to see you here again. Maybe I am on drugs, but it looks like you are trying to use InfoPath's 2007 object model inside of InfoPath 2003 object model. You can't do that! Upgrade your form to InfoPath 2007 object model (OM), or make do with InfoPath 2003 OM.

    You're the best,

_XDocument3 is an IP2003 SP1 construct and this should work with the 2003 OM.  Are you trying to run this project from InfoPath or from Visual Studio?  If you're running it from Visual Studio, do you have Visual Studio tools for Office installed?

    Hi Patrick and Jimmy,

Happy to see you again Patrick , too.

Patrick: Yes you can normally use this object in 2003 it's decribe on the link to the blog of Infopath. I think you are maybe a little bit tired but I dont think you use drugs ;-) YES I would like to convert my project to 2007 OM! But I didn't know how to make my button in my custom toolbar for that fires the related events in my code (I have ask on them but no answer)

Jimmy: Like I say in my first message I have VS 2005 and I have also tried on VS 2008 both are with tools for office (I use Team system version).

What I don't understand is that I have make this work on my forms that I have published in May. All was working great with this _XDocument3 but now when I open this project I see that _XDocument3 are not know by visual Studio.

Here some picture for a better explanation:

When I open this old project _XDocument3 is ok

If I try to see the reference that go to the right place:

But If I try to compile this project Visual Studio didn't find anymore _Xdocument3

But _XDocument and _XDocument2 are always in the DOM why XDocument3 has disappear can you explain me?

    Thanks a lot

    Thierry
