If anyone can tell me how to do this I would greatly appreciate it.It's for a contract form, and I need for users to be able to insert certain language and then edit it to suit the needs of the contract. Thanks again for any help. 12-08-2006 09:25 AM In reply to Greg Collins Joined on 08-07-2006 Posts 2,126 Re: Inserting a section that users can edit Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact If you right-click the text box and choose Properties, on the Data tab there's a Default Value field that you can put your text into. This value will always appear when the field is first inserted. The user can then change it to whatever they want. If you don't want an actual value (that would be saved with the form) you can go to the Display tab and set some placeholder text. This text will appear in the field, but goes away when the user starts typing. It never gets saved as part of the form data.Hope that helps. Reply Contact Thanks for the quick reply, it works for plain text, but it doesn't work for a section that has text box controls in it. Is there a way for the default value to display both text that can be edited and controls? 12-12-2006 11:16 AM In reply to Greg Collins Joined on 08-07-2006 Posts 2,126 Re: Inserting a section that users can edit Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact placeholder text and default values ONLY apply to field controls and never to container controls (i.e. sections, etc).If you want it to be on multiple field controls then you need to place it on each one. If you want a general message, just type in some text at the top of your section. Please Visit:BraintroveGreg's Paintings Page 1 of 1 (4 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
