    connecting two infopath forms

     Hello.........

    I hav added a button to a form template and set button's rule to open another form which is in the local machine

    and when I accessed that button from other machines through sharepoint I get error "some rules not applied....."

    Can u pls help me to open a form from others forms............. I need to connect 2,3 forms.............

    Pls help me out.......

    Hello,

    You are tying to open another form which is available in another machine and address is local folder address.

    Whichever you are tying to open the form path is not available in that machine. It will work when you have .xsn or .xsf file in that path. Otherwise it will give error message.

    Otherwise you can publish that form to SharePoint folder and give that location to open form in Rule.

    I hav given .xsn path still not workin....

    I know that local machines path doent work on other machine............ how to overcome that problem

    I tried that too.the path from sharepoint ...... doesnt work

    If you are giving path from sharepoint. You need follow below given format.

    "http://<Servername>/<Foldername>/Forms/template.xsn"

    Dear insideZia

    if you wont  to open the second form

    1. publshed the second from to sharepoint library and open the form as web page and take url

    2. Create rule in the first form and insert this url to open the next form

    Hello InsideZia,

    The rule will works for open a new form to fill out. This rule will not work for to open already submitted form.

    Whichever you are going to give URL in that rule check once in Internet Explorer executes or not?

    Eventhough I tried for this I am not getting.

    An error ---->>>InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form.
    InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix this problem, contact your system administrator.
    Form template: http://sharepoint:22959/sites/marketing/JobCardLibrary/PartyDetails.xsn
    The following form template for the form cannot be found: http://sharepoint:22959/sites/marketing/JobCardLibrary/PartyDetails.xsn
     occurs...........

    When I opened the form thru sharepoint .I am not getting the URL...... I uploaded the form into a library..... Pls help me out................
