I am a new user to both InfoPath and Access. I've bought a couple books and have been diligently reading forums, but nothing has answered my question yet!
Situation: I have two tables in an Access database, "Partners" and "Contributions." The Partners table is the "one" and the Contrib. table is the "many" in my "one-to-many" relationship. (One Partner can have many Contributions). Anyway, I've made an InfoPath form that submits data successfully to the "Partners" table. I am now trying to make a form which will submit data to the Contributions table, but only after pulling some info from the Partners table first.
Ex. User enters data on Partner form and submits the Partner's data (Name, address, etc.). Now, that same user wants to submit info about a contribution. To elimiate duplicates of Partner names, I want the Contribution form to pull the list of Partners already entered into a drop-down list in the first field. This way, the user can scroll through the list, select the partner she wants and then carry on with the Contribution entry.
How do I do this? I don't want a general query that allows the user to type in the Partner name, query and then see all the info already entered. If the Partner it pulls isn't right, they need to do it again...and it may not match only because of human error.
Can anyone help me? This is a long-winded entry, but I'm lost and need help ASAP!
Thanks!
