More than one XSD in the same template form

Hi i just started to use infopath and i have some problems: 1.- I have 53 schemas, this schemas are from a Human resources standard I want to include those schemas in a Infopath form. But when i tried to add more than one he next message appears: The selected XML Schema specifies one or more namespaces that are already in use in this form by another XML Schema. Would you like to use he XML Schemas already associated with these namespaces? If I press NO the new schema does not add to "myfields" and if I press YES neither. Some Schemas has the same elements but is that a problem for infopath? Do I have to create 53 templates for each XSD? 2.-Why I can add Schemas to a secondary connection?? Thanx for your reply!

Hi JaviKiller and welcome to our forum. Depending on your solution design, it probably makes sense to split our the schemas into separate templates. If you create one monolithic XSN (i.e. the "kitchen sink" approach) you will create wasted space in the XML payload and have more difficulty transforming the XML payloads as you send them to downstream processes. My recommendation is to create templates for each discrete data chunk in your HR processes. For example, you'd have one template for the employee's Resume, another for Performance Review, Absence Request, etc.

thank you Patrick, I totally agree with you, the problem is that later we are going to use a application named agile point that if you have a process who requires more than one template form the application don't manage it, so we need to put groups of HR XSD together, but InfoPath don't let me do it due to the message which I wrote in the first post. Thanx!

actually, you can do it! Sorry, I should have answered your specific quesiton first instead of responding as if in "disbelief". You will want to use include to reference the separate schemas from within the main one (which becomes a kind of shell). This will likely require some help manually modifying the main data source (although I have seen people do it via the Designer UI I think it is limited to 1 included schema, but I forget). anyway, bottom line: it can be done. Send us a support pack if you want us to spend an hour or two helping you do it.

I'm having the same problem and I'd love some help!  In my case I have one XSD with three roots.

How do I go about sending you a support pack?  I need help ASAP.

     Thanks!
